Army Corporal Zalli Battles for Glory Between the Sticks at Enyimba
Enyimba goalkeeper Abdullahi Zalli, who is also a Corporal in the Nigerian Army, has reflected on his debut season with the People's Elephant, describing it as a positive experience despite the club not achieving its primary targets. Zalli joined Enyimba at the beginning of the 2024/2025 NPFL season after spending three seasons with Doma United.
Serving as the club's second-choice goalkeeper behind Super Eagles B team shot-stopper Ani Ozoemena, Zalli has shown resilience and passion for the game while balancing his duties as a soldier. He played a role in Enyimba's third-place finish in their group in the CAF Confederation Cup, as well as in the 2025 President Federation Cup and NPFL campaigns.
